PRESENTER Greg Gutfeld talked candidly about his self-described “selfish” life before to becoming a father at the age of sixty.
Gutfeld, who is well-known for his crude humor on his Fox News late-night talk show, considered his life before fatherhood and how having children altered his priorities.

The new father said in a personal essay that he has “mastered the art of being selfish,” which has enabled him to flourish, but that it is now time for him to alter his behavior.
Being a parent at my age is making me learn something that many of you learnt in your twenties, thirties, and forties: you have to consider other people. And that’s difficult for me,” the presenter acknowledged in his Fox News piece.
“You can’t regret anything you did before having a child because changing the past would eliminate the possibility of that child.”
Since his wife, 42-year-old Elena Moussa, gave birth to their daughter Mira in December, Gutfeld claimed that his “entire home has changed.”
According to Realtor.com, the presenter and his spouse literally moved in July 2024 when they purchased a loft in SoHo, New York, for $10.5 million. The penthouse provides ample space for their expanding family.
He compared his wife’s perseverance during childbirth to a “nine-month tour of duty” that concludes with “exhaustion and hormones” in his essay.
He stated, “And because of that, we should treat moms like conquering heroes.”
The anchor of The Five claimed that he is “terrible at everything” when talking about parenthood.
“Ellen is a little hands-on and keeps me away from it, but I do offer emotional support,” he said.
“She told me that I’m really clumsy and that I’m awful at everything.”
In a humorous post on X, the comedian revealed the birth of his daughter.
He wrote, “See, that’s how you keep a secret,” on December 10.

During a 2004 business trip to Portugal, Gutfeld first got to know Moussa.
According to People, his wife was a picture editor for Maxim Russia at the time, and the comic was an editor at Maxim UK.
In an interview with Bill Maher’s Club Random podcast, the political analyst claimed that he could tell Moussa was his wife the moment he laid eyes on her.
“When I first saw her, I thought, ‘Oh, that’s my wife.'” “I simply knew,” he recounted.
“After that, I tried to speak with her for three days in Portugal.”
Despite having well-known occupations, the pair married just five months after they first met, and they have largely kept their romance quiet.
Gus, the couple’s French bulldog, is one item they haven’t kept secret.
Since joining their family in October 2022, Gus has made weekly appearances on the comedian’s Instagram, where he has become a star.
HEROIC COMMUNION
The couple also made headlines in 2022 when Gutfeld declared that he would change the regular schedule of his show to accommodate extra coverage of the Russia-Ukraine war out of solidarity for his wife and her family.
Although the rest of her family migrated to Ukraine, Moussa, who was born in Russia, and her husband settled in the United States.
Gutfeld collaborated with his Fox News colleagues to save Moussa’s mother from Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine.
In a tearful video, Moussa and her mother were reunited, and the designer gave her a hug while muttering “Thank God” in Russian.
Gutfeld praised his fellow Fox News reporters covering Ukraine, describing them as “heroes” and “unbelievably awesome.”
Greg Gutfeld’s late-night talk program took a 46-day paternity vacation.
The host claimed that while he was at home, he provided his wife with “emotional support.”

After serving as the chief editor of Stuff and Maxim magazines in the UK, the comic initially joined Fox News in 2011.
