“Wedding Anniversary” skit from The Carol Burnett Show has an unexpected twist

Carol Burnett and Tim Conway played a couple in the drama on “The Carol Burnett Show,” returning to Mexico, where they were married. They still have the same accommodation and continue to doubt its quality ten years after their first visit.

They turn off the lights, climb into bed, and give each other good night kisses. “Henry, Henry!” Song exclaims, her eyes enlarging. Something just slithered past me. She is told that it is all in her head by Tim, who is playing Henry.

He points to Carol’s feet and says, “It’s right there!” when Tune urges him to turn on the light. He promptly tells her that he is kidding when she yells and leaps to her feet. In a flash of wrath, she eventually hits the sack.

As she sits on top of the dresser, Tune yells that she nearly trod on it once more. Where? Henry looks around a little and asks. Henry recognizes the monster and tries to punch it.

After putting anything on it, he acknowledges that it is an antiperspirant. He places it in a cup and leaves it on the bed when they get back there. When Henry switches off the lights once more, Carol begs him to see if the cup is still there.

They hear the glass shatter and the lights come on as Carol sobs once more. Henry, maybe it’s a way of venting frustration! She shouts. It has been reported that bugs can be resentful! “Stay put,” she yells.

She tells Henry that it’s on the back of his neck and suggests that he walk outside. He reorganizes in terror, and she shuts him out. He then advises her to grant him access, which she complies with. They return to their bed, but Henry is carrying a huge lizard this time. The audience erupts in laughter before Carol even realizes it. Carol looks at it and passes out instantly. From the start to the finish, the entire sketch is funny.
