His hair had been long, smooth, straight, and far past his shoulders for years. People instantly identified him because it became a part of who he was.
Strangers occasionally thought he was someone completely different, and friends frequently joked that his hair could compete with any shampoo commercial. It was his appearance. until he decided it was time for a change one day.
The choice was made for no compelling reason. He simply felt prepared—prepared for a transformation, for a new beginning, for a new him.
Thus, he entered the barbershop and stated, “Cut it all off,” which no one ever anticipated hearing from him.

Jaws fell as the scissors started to cut through the long strands. His distinctive hair fell to the ground foot by foot, exposing not only his neck and ears but also a completely different mood.
He no longer appeared to be the easygoing man that everyone believed they knew by the time the clippers had completed their task.
He appeared confident, smart, and invigorated. His entire energy shifted, his posture became taller, and his features were more prominent.
He looked like a totally different person with only a haircut, no filters, no dyes. Sometimes all it takes to turn the page is one daring step.
