It is not unusual to see these industrious artists on any street corner, arcade, park, or shopping mall at any time of day or night. They surely know how to attract an audience. After all, the act is the only source of money for some of these wonderful people.
Promoting audience participation is part of every busker’s job, as it can draw bigger crowds and give the audience a sense of participation in the fun. If you ask a child to help you perform, you can be sure that everyone will be watching you since the child will most likely steal the show.
They didn’t expect a granddad to approach them and challenge them to a dance-off while two exceptionally talented breakdancers were performing in front of a large audience. Even more people gathered since the audience could see what was about to happen. Since he had most likely never heard of “Nirvana,” the young upstarts assumed they had this old timer when the music started, a Nirvana song. The grandfather then strikes the ground while making some amazing motions.
The two young men were immediately spinning out, and you could see the incredible look on their faces as they were genuinely in awe of what this septuagenarian could achieve with his body. Grandfather couldn’t match the first dancer’s talents when it came time for him to perform, but Granddad came out again with some blistering routines that had the audience firmly behind him.
Grandfather, unfazed by the circumstance, hits the floor with some moves that left the audience in awe while the second dancer now challenges their opponent with backbends and floor spins that nobody in the audience would do. How is this 70-year-old man so nimble?
The crowd had now decisively taken Pop’s side. Then, as soon as it started, he made his way back to the mall through the crowd. Although the winner of the dance-off is unknown, Grandfather had amply displayed his skills in the audience’s eyes.
