His shoulder-length hair had been an integral part of who he was for years. It gave him a relaxed, artistic appearance; it was thick, slightly wavy, and always fell just perfectly.
It constantly attracted attention; some thought it made him stick out, while others loved it. People started to anticipate it from him, and he continued to wear it for what seemed like an eternity.
However, one day he decided he was ready for a change, as if suddenly. A large one.
“Make it short,” he urged after entering a barbershop he had never been to before and taking a seat. Very brief.
Startled, the barber arched an eyebrow. He nodded, however, and went to work.
Chunks of hair dropped to the ground with every clipper stroke. It became evident when his jawline’s structure and shoulders gradually became visible—this was a complete makeover.
He had a totally different appearance by the time the cut was done. Crisp, clean, and renewed. His entire presence seemed to change, his features were more prominent, and his attitude was more cheerful.
Those who later saw him were in disbelief. Some didn’t even know who he was.
A simple haircut evolved into a complete makeover, and it fit him better than anyone could have predicted.
