Five lively people with contagious energy that defied their age were waiting for the stage doors to open. As they confidently arrived, the audience felt their presence right away—a riot of color and energy. Alesha Dixon, David Walliams, Amanda Holden, and Simon Cowell, the judges, looked at each other. The assessors were impressed with the group, although they were aware that the competition would be difficult. If they wanted to maintain the judges’ approval and remain in the running, their performances would have to change.
