On The Voice Australia, Ethan Hall delivered a stunning rendition of the classical hymn ‘Pie Jesu,’ which turned all four judges’ chairs.
‘Pie’ means “pious,” and this hymn is a petition to Jesus for His protection over the departed, saving them from God’s wrath or the day of retribution. We believers in Christ understand that there will come a day when God will judge the entire world, which is known as the Great White Throne Judgment of God.
This classical composition is extremely difficult to execute, and as 13-year-old Ethan Hall from Southern Australia sings it today, we are astounded by his daring to do so on a platform like ‘The Voice.’
The young youngster is crying because he can’t believe that his performance has made all four judges change their minds. Ethan’s performance reminds us all that if we ask God for help, who is always willing to help His children, we can conquer any challenge.
