Ana de Armas and Tom Cruise are back in the air.
On Wednesday, April 30, the day before de Armas’ birthday, Cruise, 62, flew a helicopter in London. It appears that the 37-year-old actress and the Top Gun: Maverick star are working together on a future project.
A source claims that the two may “perhaps” get together to celebrate de Armas’ birthday today.
Representatives for Cruise and de Armas were contacted by PEOPLE for comment.
Photos of the blonde Oscar contender getting off the helicopter and video of Cruise and what appears to be a co-pilot landing it were first reported by TMZ.
Wearing shorts and a sweatshirt, the Cuban actress is seen talking to Cruise before carrying one of her two puppies onto the helipad. Following de Armas as she left the runway, the other dog, on a leash, came out of the opposite side of the helicopter.
After talking with airport officials on the tarmac, Cruise, wearing a dark T-shirt and pants, dismounted and slapped one of them in the fist.
The two action performers, who have been spotted together in England before, are not romantically involved, a source claims. The insider claimed that they were having dinner with their agents “talking about possible collaborations down the line” when they were first spotted on a night out in February and that they “appeared to have no romantic connection, just friends.”
According to reports, on March 14, Cruise and the Knives Out actor were spotted flying into London. Doug Liman, the director of American Made and Cruise’s Edge of Tomorrow, accompanied them. The project they may be working on is unknown to us.
In a 2023 interview with USA Today, De Armas, who starred in the action film No Time To Die and will be seen in the June 6 release of From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, praised Cruise and described his stunt work as “mind-blowing.”
The eighth film in the action series, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, which premieres in theaters on May 23, is the next film in which Cruise produces and stars.
