The face of conservative America on Fox News… carries the blood of slaves. This isn’t fiction, nor a dramatized script.

Learning more about his lineage has left Lawrence Jones, co-host of NEW Fox & Friends, stunned.

Jones talked more about his experience working with an ancestry specialist who assisted him in discovering more about his family’s heritage in a recent interview with The U.S. Sun.

Jones was recently named a permanent co-host of Fox & Friends

Jones, who recently become a permanent co-host of Fox & Friends, revealed that although the title is new, he doesn’t think anything has changed.

He told The U.S. Sun, “I feel like I’ve been a part of the family for so long that I actually don’t feel anything different.”

Although Jones officially started working for Fox in 2018, he first made appearances on Fox News at the age of 20.

He didn’t take it lightly when he became the youngest Black solo host of a television news program with his show, Lawrence Jones Cross Country.

“My story includes being a Black man,” Jones stated.

“It’s an amazing honor because I obviously care about my community and want to make sure that I’m fighting for them on a daily basis.”

“A PART OF MY STORY”

Jones just had the chance to delve further into his heritage as part of his story and job at Fox.

He learned more about both his African and Native American heritage from that.

Jones shared his discoveries with The U.S. Sun, saying, “My ancestors were some of the last people on the last slave ships.”

Additionally, I had a great-great-grandmother who survived slavery and lived to reach 105 years old.

“I feel like I stand on those shoulders every day because of the rich history, and if they hadn’t made the sacrifice, I wouldn’t be here today, you know.

That’s crucial to me, then. However, I don’t want it to be the sole aspect of my story.

“I visit many communities and tell those stories, but I feel compelled to ensure that I’m advancing the next generation in light of the sacrifices made by my forefathers.”

“Within my blood”

Jones went on to explain he didn’t know anything about his family’s past.

He stated, “I had no idea,” adding that he had been looking into his history but had not come across that information.

The “unique opportunity to get a genealogist assigned to track all this back” was credited by him.

He remarked, “As I learned more and more, I was speechless.”

Jones believed his parents, who he described as “hard workers and resilient,” were the source of his work ethic, but after hearing what the genealogist had discovered, he had a change of heart.

“When you think about it, it’s kind of in my blood,” Jones remarked.

“You know, to live to be 105 and still endure slavery, the abuse, and all that.”
