Student who tore out own eyeballs while high is fired from her job

After being dismissed from her job lately, a student who went viral for pulling out her own eyeballs while high on crystal meth has stated she had “no regrets.”

In 2018, Kaylee Muthart of Anderson, South Carolina, experienced a severe psychotic episode while under the influence of methamphetamine at the age of 20.

Kaylee began smoking marijuana in high school and progressed to injecting meth after smoking it initially. Muthart wanted a last high before quitting when her mother finally persuaded her to check herself into a rehab facility to get clean.

She thought that “everyone would die if I didn’t tear out my eyes immediately” due to the terrifying effects of the drug.

She told South West News Service via The Daily Mail, “I remember thinking that someone had to sacrifice something important to right the world, and that person was me.” “Why me?” I prayed as I knelt down and pounded the earth. Why must I perform this task?

“I pushed my thumb, pointer, and middle finger into each eye,” she continued. It seemed like a tremendous battle, the toughest thing I have ever had to do. I held onto each eyeball, twisted, and pulled until each eye came out of its socket. She claimed that the pastor of the church discovered her yelling, “I want to see the light.”

He later said that I was clutching my eyeballs in my hands when he discovered me. They were still connected to my head in some way, even though I had squashed them,” Muthart says.

Although Kaylee was permanently blinded by the gruesome endeavor, she was able to overcome her drug addiction and has since changed her life. In order to support herself while she finishes her school, she took a job washing dishes at a nearby restaurant as part of her self-rebuild.

Although Kaylee herself stated she had “no regrets” over the way she was fired, it was disclosed in a depressing update that she has now been let go from that role.

The student told the Mirror that she had been fired for smuggling food out of the restaurant kitchen to feed a needy cat and her eight babies.

She refused to stop taking the meal when the establishment’s owner requested her to, and as a result, she was fired.

After losing her previous employment, Kaylee told the Mirror, “I am feeling positive.”

“It’s never nice to get fired, but I could go knowing that I done what I felt was right.

“Knowing that there was a cat waiting to be fed right there, I could not leave every night with a clear conscience, so I ordered my meal specifically for the cat and gave it the one I would get for my shift.”

“I would not have been able to walk away from that knowing that I didn’t do what I was convinced in my heart to do,” she said, describing how it was “hard on her” to be deprived of the capacity to support herself as a result.

“Therefore, knowing that I live without regretting my decision makes me feel calm and positive every day of my life.”

According to Kaylee, she now wears artificial eyeballs because she wanted to “appear more normal to the outside world” after losing her job.

“I get really upset about my situation sometimes, especially on nights when I can’t sleep,” Muthart admitted. To be honest, though, I’m happier now than I was prior to all of this. I would rather be blind than drug-dependent.
