You’ll realize that nothing beats a surprise if you watch as many talent shows as I do. Maybe it’s a little child with talent much beyond their years, or maybe it’s someone who blends many genres to produce something original. Or maybe The Voice Senior contestant Dan Lucas picks the ideal song and performs it flawlessly.
Steve Perry, Jonathan Cain, and Neal Schon wrote the power ballad “Don’t Stop Believin'” for the American rock group Journey in 1981. When it was first published, it barely made it to number nine on the Billboard Hot 100 list, but it has since become a classic rock radio staple and continues to rank among the best-selling library tracks in iTunes history.

The theme music for the final episode of the venerable HBO series The Sopranos is among the many movies and TV series that have featured the tune. It was named the best-selling catalog track in iTunes history in 2009, and that same year, VH1 named it the greatest song of the previous 25 years.
The 64-year-old Dan Lucas then joins the band. He started off teaching English and Russian before joining various bands in the US, Canada, and Europe. This video makes it evident how Dan entered the music industry. Many, including several of the judges, believed that Dan’s song performance was the reason he won this season of The Voice Senior.
