Finally, Gwyneth Paltrow sold her stunning Brentwood, Los Angeles, home for a high price. Take a look inside the California mansion that generated conversation on social media.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Gwyneth Paltrow just sold her Mandeville Canyon house in the upscale Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles for $22 million.

The home features a stunning entrance with tall ceilings, white paneled walls, and checkerboard floors in black and white. Warmth is provided with a soft, neutral-toned seat, and the polished appearance is finished with elegant lighting fixtures and built-in shelves.
The space creates a welcoming yet elegant ambiance by skillfully fusing modern and historic elements. The deal took place less than a year after the estate was first listed for $29.99 million in May 2024.
The asking price fell to $24.9 million in October, and as of this writing, no bidder had been found.
Built in the 1950s, the enormous 8,000-square-foot house occupies two-thirds of an acre. Around 2009, it underwent major restorations that blended modern and mid-century architecture.
The kitchen of the house included marble countertops, white cabinets with glass-paneled doors, and an integrated coffee station, as seen in a social media image. The homey yet elegant appearance is finished with open shelves and neatly arranged dishes.
The whole design blends contemporary practicality with classic charm, while the black-and-white carpet adds a traditional touch. The large kitchen also has a wood-burning oven and two cooktops.
A one-bedroom guesthouse with a wine cellar, office, gym, game area, and movie theater is also part of the single-story house. Beautiful fireplaces on the property are depicted in Instagram photos, which heightens the cozy ambiance.
With a wood mantle to go with the white-paneled walls and a herringbone brick interior, one fireplace has a cozy, rustic appearance. The cozy ambiance is enhanced by the fire’s warm glow.
The space was elegant and cozy, with built-in shelves surrounding the fireplace that housed numerous guitars, books, and other objects.
In order to give fans another look at their gorgeous home, Paltrow’s husband, producer and writer Brad Falchuk, published a picture of the couple kissing and showing off their dining room in 2018.
The space features an eclectic mix of modern and vintage furniture, as well as a hardwood table perfect for private discussions. With earthy hues, soft lighting, and a serene yet refined environment, the ambiance is pleasing.
One of the property’s main selling points is privacy. Lea Porter of the Beverly Hills Estate, Paltrow’s listing agent, highlighted the area’s old-growth trees and expansive hedges, which provide a serene atmosphere.
Paltrow and Chris Martin, the frontman of Coldplay at the time, paid $9.95 million for the mansion in 2012. She continued to live with their kids, Apple and Moses, following their divorce.
But once she married Falchuk in 2018, he and his two kids moved in, turning the house into a retreat for mixed families. Posts on social media highlighted the house’s beauty, showing an outside that is just as welcoming as its interior.
One post showed a beautiful, traditional-looking house with a brick chimney and a gabled roof. Plenty of natural light is let in by the large windows, and the covered porch area makes the space feel more inviting. The property has a nice, private setting because of the mature trees and lush vegetation that encircle it.
Porter previously said that Paltrow’s desire to downsize—citing the fact that her children were growing up—was the driving force behind her decision to sell. It seems that the actress listed the residence in the month that Moses received his high school degree.
However, social media users had a lot to say after the transaction became public. According to one person, “whoever bought it paid way too much.” “She should be donating at least a million dollars to the wildfires,” someone else said.
One social media user wrote, “That’s what I make in 280 years,” while another commented, “Overpriced boxes.” Someone else remarked, “Lucky her.” Being a favorite of God must be advantageous. “If only He gave us all that kind of blessing and cared!”
An era at Gwyneth Paltrow’s Brentwood house comes to an end with her decision to sell. With its stunning design and opulent amenities, the house that is left over after the sale perfectly captures her signature taste and flair as she enters a new era.
