Simon Cowell stopped the boy’s performance and told him to sing a cappella and was shocked when he heard his voice

A 12-year-old child from Easley, South Carolina, turned an interrupted “America’s Got Talent” audition into an incredible experience for the judges and the audience in what should have been a dreadful time.

Judge Simon Cowell cut Ansley off as soon as he started his rendition of Aretha Franklin’s “Think,” describing the background music as “horrible, horrible.”

Cowell suggested that Ansley sing without musical accompaniment after a long pause. Even though he was taken aback, he graciously accepted and even took a fun sip of water from Cowell’s cup, which he jokingly called “magic water.” The judges and crowd responded with fervent cheers.

Ansley started singing the song with the grace and poise of a seasoned vocalist, full of confidence.

All four judges were mesmerized by his performance, which resulted to unanimous “yes” votes and advanced him to the next round.
