It seems that Kevin Costner may have found love again, months after his tragic divorce from longtime wife Christine Baumgartner.
The Yellowstone actor is rumored to be dating singer Jewel; the two were recently spotted together at a tennis event on Richard Branson’s Necker Island for the Inspiring Children Foundation.
The couple reportedly jetted to the Caribbean together and spent over a week together, according to TMZ. Naturally, this comes after the turmoil brought on by Costner’s court battle with the previously mentioned Baumgartner after their breakup.
Sources claim that Costner was shocked when his wife decided to file for divorce in May of this year. The unfortunate circumstances began to deteriorate from that point on.
Christine claimed “irreconcilable differences” when she filed for divorce in early May. They had been wed for eighteen years.
A Costner representative released a statement saying, “It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond Mr. Costner’s control have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action.”
“As they work through this trying time, we ask that the privacy of his, Christine’s, and their kids be respected.”
In 2004, Baumgartner and Costner tied the knot. The couple has a daughter, Grace, 12, and two boys, Cayden, 15, and Hayes, 14.
After Baumgartner filed her lawsuit, she and Costner got into a heated argument. According to a prenuptial agreement, Baumgartner was forced to leave the family home, and Costner was ordered to pay $63,209 in child support each month.
There seems to be light at the end of the tunnel, even though Costner’s path has undoubtedly been a difficult one, full of uncertainty, loss, and a great deal of stress that he could have avoided.
TMZ claims that Jewel, a singer from the United States, is Costner’s partner. The couple traveled to the Caribbean together, as mentioned earlier, and according to a source, “there was definitely something going on.” They were flirty and appeared to light up when they were together.
Jewel also posted a statement about Costner on social media. Regarding the tennis fundraiser held on Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands, she said, “It’s an amazing time, and one I use to relax, rest, and play with my son.” @kevincostnermodernwest was kind enough to tutor our children this year.
TMZ claims that Jewel and Costner returned together. Jewel is “picky,” and “she wants a good man, and Kevin fits the bill,” according to a source.
