One of those musicians, Hillary Klug, makes her skills appear quite easy, even though they are nearly unthinkable. She is a superb musician and buck dancer, often known as tap dancing or clogging. The outcomes are remarkable when she combines the two.
Hillary creates incredibly fascinating music while dancing on a wooden platform. She uses her violin for the melody and her feet for a pace.
After spending eighteen years in Fayetteville, Tennessee, where she was born and reared, Hillary spent seven years in Lynchburg, Virginia. She is currently busking and pursuing her music career in Nashville.
Hillary’s artistic path started when she enrolled in a clogging class at the age of eight. She didn’t start playing the violin until she was thirteen years old. Her mother encouraged her to pursue her musical goals by helping her purchase her first violin, despite the fact that her family wasn’t very musical.
She began taking group violin lessons, but they weren’t as successful as she had hoped, and it took her more than three months to learn Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. She looked for different ways to keep practicing her instrument because she didn’t want to disappoint herself or her mother by giving up. At a local contra dance, she met a violin instructor who began to influence her goals and musical style.
Hillary began interacting with members of the local old-time music scene once she met her new fiddle instructor. “I had no idea that the world of old-time music and dance existed, and nobody in my family plays music or dances,” she said, adding, “but the more I learned, the more I was drawn to it.”
In addition to being a National Buck Dancing Champion, Hillary was now participating in weekly square dances. Buck Dancing, also known as clogging, is a kind of folk dance that is popular in the US. In addition, she won the Kentucky State Dancing Championship.
Hillary is currently on tour, performing live and establishing her internet presence while exhibiting her amazing talents to the world. Since its launch in 2018, her YouTube channel has had over 18 million views.
