Simon’s eye roll was quickly followed by a pang of regret: the moment they began to sing, the atmosphere shifted entirely.

Perhaps because boybands were so common on Britain’s Got Talent, many audience members couldn’t help but roll their eyes when Collabro initially took the stage. But in a matter of seconds, it was clear that they had miscalculated these youngsters.

Before their audition, the five members of the group—Michael Auger, Jamie Lambert, Matthew Pagan, Thomas Redgrave, and Adam Bernardo—had barely known one another for a month. Their performance, however, was truly remarkable. When they sang “oeStars” from the musical Les Misérables, the audience gave them a well-earned standing ovation.

They continued to be successful after that. Following their victory in the 2014 series, Collabro signed with Simon Cowell’s record label, Syco Music. They often perform to sold-out crowds and have now recorded several albums and toured extensively throughout the UK and Europe.

One of the most successful musical groups to come out of a talent contest is without a doubt Collabro. Please feel free to share your opinions with us on Facebook after seeing their amazing audition below!
